In April 2013 Bravo Media announced their 2013 slate of new and renewed programming and we’re afraid that Pregnant In Heels wasn’t on it and thus didn’t get to see a third season. To see the other nine shows that also missed out on renewal and their ratings which acts as a guide to the audience size that a show needs to succeed on Bravo TV click here.
Full Season Summary
There was some surprise when ‘Pregnant in Heels’ was re-upped for a second season. New York Magazine’s ‘Vulture’ column first reported the news stating “first season wasn’t a ratings sensation…. but it struck enough of a chord for Abby Elliot to do a dead-on impression of Pope on an episode of SNL last season.” However Bravo was dead right to give it another season as after three episodes of the 2nd season ratings have climbed an impressive 31% and averages over 760k at its Tuesday 10pm time slot.
Last night, the finale of the second season of Pregnant in Heels aired and what better way to end the season, than with a new beginning from the host herself, as Rosie Pope and husband Daron welcomed their new daughter Vivienne. Sadly though and largely due to a scheduling change by Bravo executives to boost the flagging 5th season of RHoNY, only 633,000 viewers tuned in and that was the second lowest ratings of this 2nd season. Last week 815,000 viewers tuned in and so that drop of 182,000 was presumably not worth the 95,000 that RHoNY gained Monday by switching the RHOC Reunion part 2 from Tuesday to Monday.
At 10pm Pregnant in Heels bounced back from last week’s series low, to 815,000 its 2nd best episode ever, and is proof positive of how a strong lead-in show can boost the ratings of ones that follow. In our projections we banked on it getting a great RHOC boost, but it missed our range of 850-950k.
Update 5 July 2012
After recording both a season and series high last week Pregnant In Heels lost over 57% of that audience plunging from 951,000 viewers down to 406,000; and that’s both a season AND series low. Her 18-49 demo was 0.2% down from last week’s 0.40, and while that normally spells trouble for Cable shows in prime-time, I’m sure this week will be overlooked due to it airing on a holiday eve.
The 27% jump in RHOC’s ratings from last week (2,504,000 versus 1,966,000) corresponded to a 33% increase in Pregnant in Heels viewership this week as it gained 236,000 extra viewers to 951,000 (0.40) when compared to last week’s 715,000 (0.30). That was both a season AND series high for Pregnant and is testament to the importance of having a great lead-in. Pregnant is now averaging 767,143 for its 2nd season a very healthy growth of 29% over its freshman season last year.

Update 21 June 2012 – Pregnant In Heels ratings are in.
This week Rosie Pope’s show bounced back from last week’s season low, gaining almost 10% to 715,000 and scoring 0.30 in the demo. Despite that jump this is still the 2nd lowest rated episode of this 2nd season and perhaps MTV’s ‘Teen Mom’ (which this week had 2.4m viewers, down from its premiere of 3.25m) is still having a lingering effect. Nonetheless, this bounce kept the season-to-date average above 730,000 viewers and up a healthy 28% over the same stage in Season 1
Update 14 June 2012 – Pregnant in Heels ratings are in.
After last week’s season & series high for Rosie Pope, ‘Pregnant in Heel’s’ kicked away 17% or 140,000 of its audience, this week dropping to 652,000 & a demo of 0.30 and that’s a season low. Its lead-in, RHoC only dropped 5.95% week on week (a loss of 112,000) and so that doesn’t explain this precipitous drop. We’re guessing that the 4th Season premiere of MTV’s ‘Teen Mom’ was what inflicted the damage, in which case Rosie’s audience should return next week.
Update 13 June 2012
Last night’s 5th episode didn’t make the Top 100 shows in cable so we at Bravo Ratings will have to go digging for last nights results. We’ll post them as soon as we get them, but this means that last night’s show must have dropped significantly versus prior weeks. This must mean everyone went over to MTV at 10:00pm to watch ‘Teen Mom’!
Update 07 June 2012
Episode 4 of Season 2, pulled in both season and series high ratings with 790,000 and 0.40 in the 18-49 ad buyers demo. In fact all four 2nd season episodes have beaten the Season 1 high of 719,000 which came in that season’s 6th episode.
