Bravo Ratings for Tuesday June 12th, 2012 – Real Housewives of OC & Pregnant In Heels

In last night’s third last episode of the regular season, a little time shifting occurred as footage taken in February was slotted in to previous footage. Tamra Barney’s engagement in Bora Bora which happened after the bulk of filming wrapped, was incorporated to beef up the storyline as Bravo well knows that engagements, marriages, divorces and births can be Reality Ratings Gold.

Although, this engagement didn’t pan out so well with attracting viewers. Episode 18 drew 1,771,000 with 0.9 in 18-49 demo making it 3rd lowest in audience totals this season. After 18 episodes with the 2 part finale still to come, OC is still averaging a healthy 1,913,333 which puts it slightly above the shorter 6th season of 15 regular episodes, which despite pulling 2.75m for its finale averaged 1,899,308 and 1.04 in the 18-49 demo. For comparison RHoNY averaged 2,038,188 & 0.93 in it’s 4th season (2011) and 2,000,143 & 1.04 (18-49) in its 3rd Season (all these figures exclude the Reunion/s & Lost Footage episodes).

At press time we haven’t yet received the numbers for ‘Pregnant in Heels’, which means, for this first time this season, that it didn’t make the Top 100 Cable TV shows of the night. We’ll have to go and dig a little deeper for them and will report back soon. (see update below)

Update – ‘Pregnant in Heels‘ ratings are in

After last week’s season & series high for Rosie Pope, ‘Pregnant in Heel’s kicked away 17% or 140,000 of its audience, this week dropping to 652,000 & a demo of 0.30 and that’s a season low. Its lead-in, RHoC only dropped 5.95% week on week (a loss of 112,000) and so that doesn’t explain this precipitous drop. We’re guessing that the 4th Season premiere of MTV’s ‘Teen Mom’ was what inflicted the damage, in which case Rosie’s audience should return next week.

  1. That is probably the worst performance I have seen in quite awhile. Not in the Top 100….I don’t care about the premiere of Teen Mom. Pregnant in Heels has been a loser since the beginning and never should have been renewed. I know Andy Cohen knows his business better than me but you don’t renew a show just b/c SNL spoofed it. Half the SNL audience didn’t even know it was a spoof of a show in the first place. They just thought it was a funny skit on how far reality tv could go and be a train wreck. Given Rosy’s speech problem and her cast of disater charachters. CONCLUSION: Pregnant in Heels belongs on the Simpsons where their fantastic satirical whit can demostrate how bad Reality TV can sink.
