Last night Bravo dug deep in its now enormous ‘Real Housewives‘ archive and pulled out what it believed were the Top 20 highlights of the various reunions. Aired in the time slot that Kim Zolciak’s ‘Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding‘ had occupied for the past 8 weeks it was particularly important to Kathy Griffin that her not rating well talk show, ‘Kathy‘ was given a reasonable lead-in. In the 9/8c time slot the Real Housewives Top 20 Reunion Moments scored a respectable rating of 944,000 with 0.40 in the demo. Not too bad for a mash-up of clips from the archive and basically a free hour’s of TV from a production standpoint. It wasn’t ‘Tardy’ territory ratings wise, but still better than the 9/8c slot Wednesday night when ‘Million Dollar Listing‘ aired.

Anderson Cooper, who recently hosted a party at his home for Andy Cohen’s ‘Most Talkative’ book launch, agreed to appear on ‘Kathy‘ last night. ‘Kathy’ is produced by the Sony Television subsidiary, Embassy Row, that also produces Andy’s show ‘WWHL‘.

Anderson must be somewhat of a glutton for punishment as this article from the New York Daily News recently pointed out “Move Over Kelly Ripa & Anderson Cooper,” noting that New Jersey Housewife Melissa Gorga and her husband Joe ’s appearance on “Watch What Happens” Sunday drew 1.7 million viewers while Cooper and Ripa had only 873,000 on Cohen’s show the next night,” as yes, by lending his bold face name to both Andy Cohen & Kathy Griffin, he gets his name in Bravo Press Releases; see Exhibit A and Exhibit B . Sadly him appearing on either of their shows, seems not to do much for their ratings.

Last night ‘Kathy’ dropped to season low ratings with only 636,000 viewers turning in with 0.30 in the 18-49 demo. I guess you could say that Anderson was ‘Miss Advised‘ when he decided to appear. I can’t see him rushing back to Bravo TV anytime soon.

Real Housewives Of OC First Look also garnered 924,000 viewers at 8.49pm with 0.4 in the demo. I’m not a fan of the first looks, but the OC ones, in particular, seem to rate well week after week for Bravo, receiving more viewers than the majority of their Real Housewives unrelated shows.
