Bravo Ratings for Monday June 25th, 2012 – RHoNY, Miss Advised and WWHL

Two Shows with rating’s dilemmas

In Bravo Ratings’ projections for this week, we wrote how the ratings performance of last night’s RHoNY & Miss Advised might cause schedule changes. After Miss Advised’s dismal debut last week we postulated that it & RHoNY might swap the 9pm & 10pm time slots as by doing so WWHL on Mondays would get a greatly enhanced lead-in. With the announcement this morning that ‘Gallery Girls‘ will be debuting in the 10pm Monday time slot on August 13th, it looks like that ‘Miss Advised‘ will hold down that slot for its duration which we are guessing is an 8 episode run. That still leaves a possible move for RHoNY to Thursday nights after ‘Kathy‘ wraps up her first season next week, but that also remains to be seen.

So just how did RHoNY’s episode 4 do? Well it rose, a little, and that’s…..a ….relief! At 1,462,000 (and 0.60 18-49 demo) it grew slightly against the 2nd & 3rd episodes but it’s still along way from previous season averages, down 22% & 21% respectively versus season 4 & 3.

The argument between Heather & Ramona over the London trip gets drawn out into next week’s, so it looks like the we won’t get to see the actual trip until Episode 6. Here’s the description for S05E05 from BravoTV.com Aviva and Heather meet up to discuss the London trip, to which Aviva expresses concern over the exclusion of Ramona — but Heather is not fazed in the least. LuAnn heads to an acupuncturist to see what she can do about having a baby. Meanwhile, Aviva asks Sonja to throw a fifth anniversary party for her and her husband. Sonja is ecstatic that it will be Sonja in the City’s first event, although she’s concerned that most of the planning will take place while she is in London. Carole decides to go on a date with a guy she met through Sonja and things seem to be going well. . .until she finds out his age. Later, Carole and Ramona meet for tea to talk about Ramona’s issues with Heather and as she gets worked up thinking about the situation, Carole tries to distract her by telling Ramona that she is a princess. Ramona is over the moon knowing that Carole has one up on LuAnn. In an attempt to smooth things over, Heather invites Ramona shopping along with Aviva and Carole. When Ramona and Heather sit down to try and talk out their issues, things get escalated quickly and Ramona leaves without an outfit or a London invite.

With it looking like neither Aviva (who’s turning out to be the find of the new cast) nor Ramona going to London, it will be interesting to see how well Luann (Countess), Carole (Princess), Heather and Sonja carry the trip by themselves. I just hope it doesn’t turn into “Battle of the Titles” as that joke has been going on among viewers for over four seasons now, and I’m not sure bringing it on to the show is guaranteed more than a slight chuckle from the show’s fans.

As expected Miss Advised again failed to feature in the Cable Top 100 shows last night and therefore it will take us a further 24 hours to track down its ratings. It’s a paradox that the smaller the viewership the longer it takes to count the viewers! But do check back tomorrow and we’ll post them as soon as we get them.

UPDATE 8.50pm 26-Jun-12 Miss Advised ratings are in and they are both good and bad. The overall audience totals grew against last week’s premiere; gaining 7.2% or 41,000 viewers, but worryingly the 18-49 demo dropped from 0.30 to 0.20. It was two weeks of scoring 0.20 that caused Bravo to pull Love Broker from its March schedules, as Bravo could simply run another Real Housewives repeat and more or less be guaranteed to score a 0.40 demo figure and thus earn more advertising dollars in that hour. You can see the season to date average here.

As Ramona failed last week, so did Aviva Drescher & Heather Thomson this week, as again Monday’s WWHL didn’t score a Top 100 placement. Despite two ads during last night’s RHoNY that Aviva & Heather would be on WWHL at 11pm, as many of the approximately 1m+ RHoNY audience that switched off Bravo when Miss Advised started at 10pm, failed to return to Bravo at 11pm to watch Andy Cohen in his clubhouse.

Here are the ratings for previous seasons of RHoNY; Season 1, Season 2, Season 3 and last year’s, Season 4.

  1. Ramona, Aviva and Heather “failed” to bring in ratings for WWHL. Nice way of saying it, lol.
You’re right, that “Miss Advised” is a remote grabber if there ever was one!
