Top Chef: Texas is the ninth iteration of Top Chef and was filmed in San Antonio, Dallas, and Austin in Texas, although the finale was filmed in British Columbia. It had the largest number of contestants of any season with 29 chefs but only one received the $125,000 awarded to the ‘Top Chef’.
The cheftestants in order of their elimination were Tyler Stone, Colin Patterson, Simon Pantet, Nina Vicente, Kimberly Calichio, Chaz Brown, Jonathan Baltazar, Berenice deAraujo, Ashley Villaluz, Molly Brandt, Laurent Quenioux, Andrew Curren, Janine Falvo, Keith Rhodes, Richie Farina, Chuy Valencia, Whitney Otawka, Dakota Weiss, Nyesha Arrington, Heather Terhune, Chris Crary, Ty-Lör Boring, Chris Jones, Grayson Schmitz, Edward Lee, Beverly Kim, Lindsay Autry, Sarah Grueneberg and it was Paul Qui who won the $125,000 first prize.
