Bravo programming execs showed they’ve largely written off any chance of significantly improved ratings for this season’s rejigged RHoNY, by letting it air against sister network’s NBC’s prime-time Olympic coverage, something they didn’t allow with the previous night’s RHoNJ.

It’s almost as if the RHoNY cast were asking Bravo Execs whether this episode’s scandalous title ‘You Want to What Me in the Where?’ was in recognition of this season’s frankly dismal ratings for a once stellar franchise member. None-the-less a respectable (given this season’s ratings) 1,441,000 (demo 0.6) viewers tuned in to hear the StumbleBums shock some of the Housewives with their ode to unconventional sex practices.

This now means after 10 episodes of this 5th season RHoNY is averaging 1,452,200 viewers per episode (demo 0.61). At the same stage last season the average was 1,986,000 (0.94) and that translates into a drop of some 26.88% in total viewers and a larger 35.11% reduction in the 18 to 49 year old viewers coveted by advertisers. By any calculation that’s not good news for Bravo’s revenues.

At 10pm, ‘Miss Advised‘ aired it’s finale, which retained just 38.58% of its RHoNY lead-in. 556,000 (0.3 demo) tuned in and that meant the overall season average came in at 573,750 and 0.26 demo. This show never seemed to hit the mark, and while the negative attention directed at cast member Julia Allison, seemed to have drawn many viewers, at Bravo Ratings we’d be surprised if a 2nd season is commissioned. With this show airing at 10pm as WWHL’s nightly Tuesday lead-in, it has also hurt the ratings for WWHL as only once during its 8 week run as WWHL rated in the nightly Cable Top 100 shows.
