Bravo Ratings for Sunday August 26th, 2012 – RHoNJ and WWHL

Teresa Giudice appeared with
Caroline Manzo on a special
pre-taped edition of WWHL

Prior to a special airing of WWHL on Sunday, the 17th episode of Season Four’s RHoNJ aired and after last week’s record breaking episode, this one reached an even higher number of viewers. An audience of 3,104,000 people tuned in and this is the first time this season that 3m has been breached. Additionally this is the highest non finale regular episode in the NJ franchise’s history. The previous record holder was Episode 14 of the 2nd season, which was watched by 3,083,000.

This week’s 18-49 demo percentage of 1.40 is the same as last week’s despite the additional 124,000 people who watched and that pretty much means that all those additional viewers were either aged above 49 years or below 18 years. Back when 3,083,000 viewers watched S02E14 the demo % was 1.60 which is indicative of a trend we’ve seen across all the RH franchises of declining numbers of the advertising industry’s ideal audience.

Season to date, Season 4 is still in negative territory when compared with Seasons’ 2 & 3. Against Season 3 the average audience is now down just 2.54% and the demo by a slightly larger negative of 2.79%. Versus Season 2, the average viewership is down 6.36% and negative 13.28% in the 18-49 demo. Still, given the maturity (and potential overexposure) of the RH franchise, Bravo will be very happy with ratings like these. Look shortly for a follow up by Bravo PR to last week’s Press Release heralding these ratings.

Following RHoNJ’s episode a mini Jersey reunion, that Andy Cohen pre-taped prior to his Croatian sojourn, aired and that also racked up great numbers. Teresa Giudice & Caroline Manzo joined Andy and 2,361,000 (Demo 1.10) viewers watched the showdown. It’s over 18 months since WWHL has seen numbers like that. We have to go all the way back to 30th January 2011 when Kim Zolciak joined Andy Cohen and a massive 3.1m tuned in.

With this weekend’s Labor Day holiday being celebrated, RHoNJ takes a one week hiatus and will return on Sunday September 9th also on that date Andy Cohen returns from his summer vacation.
