With the Fall 2012 Sweeps about to be conducted Bravo is returning two big guns to its schedule as well as debuting a slew of new programming. Although Nielsen reports ratings for every day of the year, during the four sweeps periods, they survey an additional 2m households by way of a paper diary and therefore are able to analyse much more data. This extra information is then used by the networks, cable channels as well as cable systems and advertisers to set ads rates for the coming year.
The Fall sweeps period kicks off October 25th and runs through November 21st and during this time Bravo will be premiering four returning series and two freshman shows.

The most interesting gamble Bravo is taking during this sweeps’ period is scheduling the return of Million Dollar Decorators. Its first season, which aired May through July 2011, scored an average audience of just over 600,000 viewers and a miserly 0.27 in the 18-49 demo. No doubt they will both be hoping and expecting for it to improve significantly on those numbers.
The other interesting scheduling note is that LOLwork (a 30 minute TV show) has been scheduled to follow the 10pm airing of Top Chef – Seattle, thus LOLWork will air at 11pm Wednesdays, a time slot previously held by Andy Cohen‘s talk vehicle, Watch What Happens Live. Does this foreshadow a return to just two or three nights of WWHL each week or will it go up at 11.30pm?
