After the rip roaring success of the Real Housewives’ franchise, Bravo Media invested heavily in what they hoped would be a new franchise; Most Eligible and chose Texas as the initial host state, Most Eligible Dallas, was the first of what was hoped was many potential Most Eligible series.
Six young Dallasites were cast; Matt Nordgren, Courtney Kerr, Glenn Pakulak, Drew Ginsburg, Tara Harper and Neill Skylar to represent this larger-than-life southern city, however it seems as an ensemble cast they never collectively hit it off as certainly the ratings didn’t take off either.
Scheduled to air Monday’s at 10pm, its first three episodes debuted following Season 5 of Millionaire Matchmaker and the last five gained the added boost of having the Season 2 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airing in the 9pm time slot.
In its freshman season ME Dallas averaged a very respectable 828,625 viewers per episode (18-49 Demo 0.44); the three episodes that followed Millionaire Matchmaker averaged 791,667 viewers (demo 0.40) and the 6 which followed RHoBH; a larger audience of 850,800 (demo 0.46).
Courtney Kerr seemingly was the only cast member who built a following with fans and in August 2012 Bravo Media announced a spin off for her called Courtney Loves Dallas.
The series was produced by Pink Sneakers for Bravo. The executive producers are Kimberly Belcher Cowin and John Ehrhard.
