Top Chef All Stars Season 8

Top Chef’s eighth season dubbed “All Stars’, welcomed back some of the previous seven season’s cheftestants, none of whom had yet won the title of Top Chef. This season featured Season 1′s Stephen Asprinio and Tiffani Faison, from Season 2; Elia Aboumrad and Marcel Vigneron, Season 3′s Casey Thompson, Dale Levitski and Tre Wilcox, from Season 4; Antonia Lofaso, Dale Talde, Richard Blais and Spike Mendelsohn, Season 5′s Carla Hall, Fabio Viviani and Jamie Lauren, from Season 6; Jennifer Carroll and Mike Isabella, and from the then most recent season 7; Angelo Sosa and Tiffany Derry. After 16 episodes and a trip to the Bahamas for the finale Richard Blais (runner up from Season 4) was judged the winner with Carla Hall (S5) voted Fan Favorite.
For this season Anthony Bourdain joined as a judge (his only season), along with returning judges; Tom Coliccio and Gail Simmons. Padma Lakshmi fulfilled her role as Host, a position she’d held since the second season.
Four of the chefs were subsequently cast in an additional Top Chef spin-off, as winner Blais, was joined by Carroll, Viviano, & Mendelsohn in 2012′s Life After Top Chef
Top Chef All-Stars was produced by the Emmy Award-winning Magical Elves. Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz served as executive producers.
