This Week on Bravo – No RHoA but a Nene Leakes Special, Newlyweds & Million $ Listings

Since The Real Housewives Of Atlanta returned to Bravo TV’s schedule in November 2012, Sundays have consistently been the highest rated night each week for Bravo Media. With RHoA having wrapped last Sunday, there are four Sundays until the premiere of Season 5 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey and it’s up to Married to Medicine to see if they can hold down the fort. But tonight at least they will get a little help from RHoA mega-star Nene Leakes.

Great Camera Deals

Tonight at 8/7c, Nene will sit down with Andy Cohen for a Watch What Happens Live special. In its regular 11pm time-slot, Nene has appeared twice in this ninth season; the premiere on January 6th with Husband, Ex-husband and now Fiancé Gregg Leakes, where they garnered 1.7m viewers and on March 3rd with Cynthia Bailey when 1,421,000 viewers tuned in. Of course both those episodes followed an evening of RHoA programming, so it will be interesting to see what this one-off special collects tonight but we would hazard a guess at around 1.5m viewers.

With what we expect will be its smallest lead-in to date, tonight’s seventh episode of Married to Medicine will probably drop to around 1.6m; down from last week’s 1.942m and then at 10pm The Kandi Factory, in its now permanent Sunday slot, will drop from last Sunday’s 1.189m to 900,000 viewers but still rate significantly higher than when it languished on Tuesdays.

The two most ‘normal’ cast members of M2M are on WWHL at 11pm; Dr. Jackie Walters and Dr. Simon Whitmore and their normality, combined with the weak lead-in via Kandi Burruss, will probably ensure that they score Andy Cohen his lowest Sunday ratings of this ninth season; currently 992,000 when Naomi Campbell appeared on February 17th.

Monday sees The Real Housewives of Orange County move to its new time of 9/8c and they will try to claim the accolade as the highest rated currently airing Bravo TV show. While Married to Medicine is currently averaging a larger audience than RHOC, they won’t now without their RHoA lead-in, and we expect that RHOC will close that gap. This Monday they should have an audience of around 1.9m and that will help them begin to reclaim that mantle.

At 10/9c, the first of two of this week’s premieres will air as we welcome Newlyweds; The First Year, in the time-slot previously held by LA Shrinks. Newlyweds will follow four couples through their first year of marriage as we’ll get to watch what happens when the honeymoon is over. As the premiere runs 90 minutes the WWHL studio will be dark and Andy Cohen gets a rare Monday evening off.

With The Kandi Factory having moved to Sundays, Kim Zolciak and Don’t Be tardy… hold down Tuesdays, with a slew of her episodes repeating but the new episode, now being aired at 10/9c. It will be interesting to see just how many of her fans will know to tune in at the new time but because of these schedule changes we would expect a further reduction in her audience this week and possibly a smaller audience than 700,000. After a previous episode of Tardy repeats at 10:30, the boys of 98 DegreesNick Lachey, Drew Lachey, Jeff Timmons, Junstin Jeffre, will be guests on WWHL and if they can attract an audience of 500,000 that should be considered a reasonable ratings return.

The final two episodes of Dukes of Melrose will air at 9pm & 9:30pm Wednesday and then we welcome back the second seaon of Million Dollar Listing – New York at 10pm. Last season’s cast member Michael Lorber has left the series and been replaced by Luis D Oritz who joins returning cast; Ryan Serhant and Fredrik Eklund. Wednesday’s WWHL will feature Alyson Hannigan and Zachary Quinto.

On Thursday Tabatha Coffey’s Tabatha Takes Over is again given some original programming as a lead-in, as a preview of Married to Medicine will air from 9:45pm. As happened last week, Tabatha’s sixth episode filmed at Bombshells Salon and Spa, will probably draw a larger audience than her lead-in. At 11pm, Natalie Maines and Carrie Anna Inaba will join Andy Coehn on WWHL.

M2M was really boring last night.I enjoyed the NeNe interview, but they should move up the NJ debut if possible as people may start new habits on sunday night.

Damn, you were pretty spot on! That M2M drop is pretty concerning. It’s still doing well, but if ratings continue to drop it’ll indicate the show is failing to really establish itself outside of RHOA’s shadow.
