Tamra’s OC Wedding – Season 1 Ratings

Update Wednesday, September 17th, 2013

Sadly last night’s wedding and season finale shed viewers from last week’s second (and also second last) episode of Tamra’s OC Wedding, as the audience total dropped by 2.71% but in the 18 to 49 year old age group, it grew by just under 1%, holding at 0.60 in the 18 to 49 year demo.

At 8pm Monday, 1,402,000 people aged two years and over (724,000 aged 18-49) tuned in to watch Eddie & Tamra tie the knot as well as peruse three pages of “promotional consideration” listings at the end of the show’s credits. Those disappointing ratings means that of Real Housewives weddings, only Marysol Patton from the first season of The Real Housewives of Miami drew a smaller audience. I wonder if those that provided the promotional consideration will feel they got their money’s worth?

Yesterday, we posted an article on the ratings Weddings By Bravo, and based on that in addition to Marysol, Tamra Barney also scored a larger audience than Fredrik Eklund in July and Jenni Pulos in October last year. While that might be some comfort to Tamra, the RHOC wedding bragging rights remains with Lauri Peterson who married in the Season Three finale way back in 2008 attracting an audience of 2,018,000 viewers.

and 1,488,000 of those were aged 18 to 49 years, a larger group than Tamra achieved in her total audience throughout her three episode season.
Full Season Summary

It’s seems the secret to getting a spin-off from the Real Housewives is to get married (however too often that means getting divorced first). This spin-off see Tamra Barney (now Tamra Judge) join Bethenny Frankel and Kim Zolciak with a wedding themed spin off and they’ll be joined later this month by Nene Leakes. For whatever reason Bravo Media & Evolution Media seemingly sensed that Tamra couldn’t carry a full season and therefore this season will be known as a ‘limited run’.

We’re guessing that with former husband, Simon Barney refusing to allow his children to appear on Bravo TV, a more family centric show a la Kim Zolziak’s two seasons, just wasn’t feasible, thus we’re left with just a three week run.

The first episodes of Bethenny’s Getting Married attracted an audience of 2,096,000 people (1,350,000 aged 18-49 – Demo 1.0) and Don’t be Tardy for the Wedding garnered 1,399,000 (691,000 aged 18-49 – Demo 0.50). And it would have been Zolciak’s opening episode’s ratings that Tamra should have set her eyes on beating.

  2. andrea says:

I remember Lauri’s wedding…it was beautiful and THEY didn’t need Bravo’s handouts to pull it off. It was a much more authentic and elegant event.

Wow! There’s some angry, bitter bitch posting here. I doubted Tamra but she brought it. I like the show.

The Heather’s haven’t helped buoy this hag playing stressed out bride. Nothing fun about people clawing to be famous & calculating their bonus checks reflecting in their eyes. Que strippers, boners, 50 yr old white trash clinging to Dr, & Hollywood Heather McDonald. Then there’s Heather Du….. ZZzzz.

  5. Terri says:

Not to mention this hag has been married three times, she is a proven liar and she is a one trick pony.. talk crap about everyone behind their back when the truth is she’s a dead beat her abandon her son, got caught cheating on both exes and has never accomplished anything. No wonder people don’t want to watch..

  6. WallE says:

Well, you can only film and show so much prep for a wedding… No one wants that to drag out for a full season! 3 episodes seems legit.
