Updated Thursday July 24th, 2014 and includes ratings for S11E118 of Watch What Happens Live which aired at 11pm on Sunday July 20th, 2014 with RHoNJ’s Kathy Wakile, Rosie Pierri and Game of Crown’s Vanassa Sebastien; Episode S11E119 which aired at 11pm on Monday July 21st and featured RHOC’s Lizzie Rovsek and Ladies of London’s Juliet Angus; Episode S11E120 which aired at 10pm on Tuesday July 22nd and featured RHoNY’s Ramona Singer, LuAnn de Lesseps and Heather Thomson and Episode S11E121 which aired at 11pm on Wednesday July 23rd and featured MDLMIA’s Samantha Debianchi, Chad Carroll and , Chris Leavitt.

With Sunday’s WWHL airing immediately following a repeat airing of RHoNJ’s second episode, I wrongly assumed that Kathy & Rosie would draw a larger audience than Dina had the previous week (797,000 P2+ and her appearance had as its lead-in Married to Medicine’s reunion), however with only 760,000 viewers watching the 10pm RHoNJ repeat, that was not going to happen and in fact 193,000 of them switched elsewhere at 11pm. That meant that only 567,000 viewers total tuned in at 11pm (and this was the episode where Teresa Giudice was meant to appear) and just 336,000 of them were aged 18 to 49 years. Whereas last week’s appearance by Dina had beeen the second least viewed Sunday episode this season, that record now is held by Kathy & Rosie. However, neither episode’s ratings augur well for WWHL Sunday’s for the remainder of RHoNJ’s sixth season. Sundays are Andy Cohen’s highest rated night and currently average over 1.65m viewers in total and 874,000 P18-49 and he won’t want to see his Sunday average decline.

Monday’s show with Lizzie from RHoC & Juliet from LoL, certainly had a larger lead-in than Sunday’s WWHL; 842,000 via Ladies of London season finale versus RHoNJ’s repeat audience of 766,000 but all bar 100,000 of LOL’s lead-in audience stayed on, as 742,000 viewers in total with 399,000 of them aged 18-49 years tuned in. That’s a reasonable result and is only -4.0% fewer than the WWHL’s P2+ Monday episode average this season.

With Tuesday’s schedule change to an 10pm airtime following on directly to the finale episode of The Real Housewives of New York City, it was to be expected that the RHoNY triumvirate would draw a larger audience than the two previous night’s episodes had done. Just over 80% of RHoNY’s audience stayed on at 10pm as 1,209,000 P2+ viewers (including 678,000 P18-49) gave Andy Cohen his highest rated Tuesday edition this year.

Prior to the Wednesday appearance of the cast from the lowly rated Million Dollar Listing Miami, Andy Cohen tweeted asking for questions for the three Miami ‘sharks’; Samantha Debianchi, Chad Carroll and Chris Leavitt.

Not only were not many questions forthcoming for these 3 sharks but only 46% of MDLMIA’s P18-49 audience bothered to watch Wednesday’s WWHL episode to witness their bite (or lack thereof). Only 333,000 P2+ viewers and a paltry 137,000 P18-49′s tuned in and thus Wednesday’s MDLMIA featured WWHL became the lowest rated of the 121 WWHL episodes to have aired in this calendar year. With insipid ratings for their freshman season and then this lowly rated WWHL appearance; Chad, Sam and Chris better hope the Real Estate careers take off as their TV ones surely won’t.

Full Season Summary

Season 11 is the first full season to air since it was announced that host Andy Cohen was relinquishing his position as SVP Programming & Development at Bravo Media to set up his own production company Most Talkative as well as remain host of What What Happens Live as well hosting the Real Housewives Reunion shows.

The tenth season of WWHL which wrapped December 22nd, 2013 was the longest season to date of WWHL and totaled 114 episodes and it’s audiences ranged from a high of 1,868,000 viewers on Sunday December 6th when Fantasia Barrino and Kandi Burruss to a low of 292,000 on Thursday September 26th when Lizzy Caplan and Tony Danza where Andy’s guests.

As a rule WWHL’s ratings are best when it acts as a post-game style show for that night’s Bravo TV lineup, and therefore ratings tend to be higher on Sundays (Bravo Media best rated night each week and progressively fall away with Thursdays’ episodes always rating the lowest.

Watch What Happens Live” is produced by Embassy Row for Bravo Media. Michael Davies, Deirdre Connolly and Andy Cohen serve as executive producers.
