Yesterday news broke of a ‘strike’ due to a RHoNY pay stand-off, by the six returning cast of The Real Housewives of New York as they attempt to wangle greater financial rewards from their paymasters Bravo Media. Since 2006 Bravo Media have built a cash generator of massive proportions with their mega-successful franchise and while it’s true that RHoNY last season fell to become the second lowest rated of the Housewives’ franchise (in the USA Anyway), it is still a huge cash cow for Bravo TV and their owners Comcast. This Week on Bravo – No RHoA but a Nene Leakes Special, Newlyweds & Million $ Listings

Since The Real Housewives Of Atlanta returned to Bravo TV’s schedule in November 2012, Sundays have consistently been the highest rated night each week for Bravo Media. With RHoA having wrapped last Sunday, there are four Sundays until the premiere of Season 5 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey and it’s up to Married to Medicine to see if they can hold down the fort. But tonight at least they will get a little help from RHoA mega-star Nene Leakes.

With Three Finales, Bravo’s Top 10 Weddings; A Look At Bravo TV’s Schedule for This Week

It’s finale week on Bravo Media this week with three shows wrapping up their last episodes of their respective season and due to their mediocre ratings what will probably be their series finales as well. So her’s our look at Bravo TV’s Schedule for the week ahead. But first let’s look at today, which is the height of Bravo’s Ratings each week. At 8/7c, the third installment of The Real Housewives of Atlanta will air and look for that to again exceed 3m viewers, taking the cumulative for the three reunion episodes to over 10m viewers; not a bad financial return from just one evening’s filming.

Kim Zolciack’s Don’t Be Tardy…. which aired an original episode last night at 10.00pm continued to excel in its new time-slot as 1,172,000 viewers tuned in (demo 0.50). This was Tardy’s sixth episode of this season and became the second highest rated, pushing her second season average up over 1m viewers per episode again.

This week’s episode was 24% higher than last week’s, which itself was 30% higher than the one the week before that but wasn’t enough for Bravo PR to issue a press release although they did tweet out their congratulations, but it doesn’t look like Kim’s too happy. Continue Reading

Life After Top Chef - A Short 5 Episode Trial Season

Squeezed in between the finale of Top Chef Masters’ 4th season and the upcoming premiere of Top Chef Seattle (Season 10), comes Life After Top Chef which features four TC alumni Richard Blais and Spike Mendelsohn from Season 4, Fabio Viviani (Season 5) and Jennifer Carroll (Season 6).

In October 2009 Bravo announced that Bethenny Frankel, Christian Siriano and Fabio Viviani had all been tapped for spin offs. As any Bravo Ratings reader knows, Bethenny’s spin off lasted three seasons. Christian Siriano’s series was scrapped but Bravo did manage to get a one hour special from it but until Life After Top Chef nothing has ever eventuated out of Fabiano Viviani’s deal, until now.
