Bravo Ratings For Week Ending Thursday, April 18th 2013

Bravo Media & Nielsen Media Logos - Sweeps November 11 - November 17 2012

For Bravo Ratings, last Sunday started phenomenally well with two series highs; Married To Medicine and Fashion Queens and also very high ratings for The Real Housewives of Atlanta at 8pm AND for its repeat airing at 10pm, as well as for Watch What Happens Live. All in, 9.62m viewers watched the 4 hours of television between 8pm & midnight: 3.5m between 8pm-9pm; 2.7m 9pm-10pm; 2.2m 10pm-11pm; and averaging WWHL & Fashion Queens 30 minute audiences; 1.25m between 11pm & midnight. If Bravo Media could replicate those sorts of ratings 5 days per week, Comcast executives would be doing back flips. Read more

Bravo Ratings Monday, April 15th – RHOC, LA Shrinks & WWHL

RHOC LAS WWHL Logos

While the third season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills saw its ratings drop from their second season, at least the drop wasn’t as precipitative as the one being experienced by Season Eight of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Plus with Sunday night’s record ratings of 2,661,000 tuning in for the fourth episode of the freshman season of Married To Medicine, the ladies of RHoC, the original Housewives are looking a little squeezed.

At 8/7c last night, 1,609,000 viewers tuned in (demo 0.80) to view RHOC, although their cumulative audience increased, with the second offering immediately following attracting an additional 820,000 viewers (demo 0.40). Through three episodes this eighth season, is now averaging 1,673,333 (demo 0.80) and that’s down by -16.57% overall and -19.30% in the 18 to 49 year old demographic, when compared with Season 7.

Tonight, sees the first Monday since October 2012 that fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills aren’t able to get their Bravo TV fix but Andy Cohen has stepped into the breach by inviting former RHoBH Camille Grammer (with Pete Wentz) on to WWHL tonight at 11pm.

The loss of RHoBH (and Vanderpump Rules as well) from their schedules means that S08E03 of The Real housewives of Orange County will repeat at 9/8c prior to S01E07 of LA Shrinks. Shrinks has done better at 10pm, when it has aired after first run programming and it will be interesting to see how much of its recent audience it can sustain, now that it only has repeat programming as its lead-in.

Bravo Ratings For Week Ending Thursday, April 11th 2013

Bravo Media & Nielsen Media Logos - Sweeps November 11 - November 17 2012

This week for Bravo Media and for Bravo Ratings, started as usual with a ratings high as The Real Housewives of Atlanta aired the first part of their 3 part reunion Sunday, April 7th followed by third episode of Married to Medicine. While the RHoA wives didn’t score a season high for their ratings, nor did they score the highest ratings for any Real Housewives’ Franchise for a Reunion Episode, they did improve their ratings by an impressive 20% over last week’s finale!

With 3,633,000 viewers tuning in (18-49 demo 1.90) this became the third highest rated episode of this fifth season, plus an additional 1,540,000 (demo 0.80) tuned in for the 10pm repeat airing. Through twenty-one episodes RHoA is averaging a very impressive 3,081,000 (demo 1.50) for the first airing of each episode and that’s a strong growth of 7.9% over their fourth season. It will be interesting to see how The Real Housewives of New Jersey competes with those numbers when they return for their fifth season in June. Read more

All three shows which aired Monday saw lower ratings this week than last but ironically the best performing episode of the three; RHoBH ‘Secrets Revealed’, was the one with the largest weekly decline. But first at 8/7c The Real Housewives of Orange County kicked off the second episode of their eighth season, and after a less than stellar premiere last week, an audience loss of 12% saw them with just 1,597,000 viewers (demo 0.80). Excluding “Lost Footage” episodes which always rate lower, last night’s audience numbers are lower than any other episode since at least Season 5 and perhaps further back than that. On top of last week’s premiere which was the lowest rated since 2007, this is not a great start for RHOC. Read more
