Bravo Takes up Residence in Hotlanta

Bravo Media’s announcement of two new shows plus a returning one all set in and around Atlanta, Georgia, means that Atlanta joins New York City & Los Angeles as host cities to several Bravo Media produced reality programs.
There was no surprise with confirmation that Kim Zolicak is returning with a second season of her Real Housewives’ spin off “Don’t Be Tardy…“, which in its first season culminated in her wedding to Kroy Biermann and averaged over 1.6m viewers and 0.70 in the 18-49 demo per episode. Read more

have thought of Reality TV?
This is the week of Independence Day celebrations culminating in Wednesday’s fireworks and while that’s exciting for many, it does cause headaches to television schedulers. Falling this year on a Wednesday has meant the whole week’s schedule has been interrupted and it will be interesting to see just how badly the holiday will affect Bravo Ratings. In total Bravo’s first run programming this weeks falls to a low of just six hours, down from last week’s 10 and one half.

This week Bravo gave us 4 hours of ‘Real Housewives‘ shows, ‘RHoNJ‘ on Sunday, ‘RHoNY‘ Monday, ‘RHOC‘ Tuesday and then a gap until Thursday when compilation footage, from all seven of the various RH iterations, was aired called ‘Real Housewives Top 20 Reunion Moments‘. Plus Andy returned to his cubby little SoHo clubhouse as he kicked off the 7th Season of ‘WWHL‘ with a bang and a Press Release. So, how did this week go in Bravo Ratings land? Well, here are the results for the week June 17 – June 21, 2012.
Returning to the #1 spot was of course, RHoNJ with numbers that would have made it number one last week when it dipped to 2,293,000. RHOC also moved up a place to 2nd, now that ‘DBTFTW‘ has left the first run schedules. RHoNY stayed in 4th place as the return of ‘WWHL’ on Sunday night for its 7th season premiere, stormed in to take the #3 spot. Bravo PR issued this press release announcing the ratings for this episode which featured Teresa & Joe Giudice.

Cast of ‘Miss Advised’ debuting Monday
With one show ‘DBTFTW‘ finishing last week and departing the Bravo first run schedules, that hour of original content is replaced by ‘Miss Advised’ which takes over the Monday 10pm time slot. The last show that debuted in that hour was ‘Love Broker’, which covers similar matchmaking territory to ‘Miss Advised’ and ‘Love Broker’ only lasted two episodes back in March and was pulled after failing in its short run and not climbing higher than a lowly 0.2 in the 18-49 demo.
