Bravo Media & Nielsen Media Logos - Sweeps November 11 - November 17 2012

The weren’t particularly any major ratings surprises with Bravo Ratings on Bravo TV this week, with the dominant theme being how the use of a 12 or 14 minute preview of an upcoming Real Housewives episode can help boost ratings for other original programming when the need arises. although perhaps Kim Zolciak’s ratings decline of 28.5% would have been bigger news but for Kandi Burruss seeing a larger 31.5% decline as her audience shrank below 500,000 people.

While the third season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills saw its ratings drop from their second season, at least the drop wasn’t as precipitative as the one being experienced by Season Eight of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Plus with Sunday night’s record ratings of 2,661,000 tuning in for the fourth episode of the freshman season of Married To Medicine, the ladies of RHoC, the original Housewives are looking a little squeezed.

At 8/7c last night, 1,609,000 viewers tuned in (demo 0.80) to view RHOC, although their cumulative audience increased, with the second offering immediately following attracting an additional 820,000 viewers (demo 0.40). Through three episodes this eighth season, is now averaging 1,673,333 (demo 0.80) and that’s down by -16.57% overall and -19.30% in the 18 to 49 year old demographic, when compared with Season 7.
